Commuting from Bound Brook

Bound Brook sits on NJ Transit's Raritan Valley Line, with regular service to Newark Penn Station and a quick transfer to trains for New York Penn Station. Here's what the trip actually looks like.

The route at a glance

The Raritan Valley Line runs east-west across central New Jersey. From Bound Brook, eastbound trains take you to Newark Penn Station, where most riders transfer to the Northeast Corridor line for the final hop into New York Penn Station. A small number of off-peak "one-seat ride" trains continue directly into New York without a transfer.

Bound Brook Station

The station is at the south end of town, off Talmage Avenue, with the platform on the south side of the tracks. There's a sheltered waiting area, a ticket vending machine, and a small NJ Transit parking lot adjacent to the station.

Permit and daily-fee parking are both available. Permit availability and pricing are managed by the borough; daily-fee spaces are first-come, first-served. For current rates and the permit waiting list, contact the Bound Brook borough office.

Schedules and fares

Schedules and fares change with each NJ Transit timetable revision, so the authoritative source is always NJ Transit's own site. From the homepage, use the trip planner ("From: Bound Brook, To: New York Penn Station") to see current schedules and fares for your specific trip.
